Prado National Museum

A classic par excellence. We are facing the best art gallery in Spain, being therefore one of the most important worldwide. The collection of paintings includes the period from the 16th to the 19th centuries. We can find works by El Bosco, Dürer, Titian ... among others. If you visit Madrid, it is a must.

Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum

It is one of the most complete private collections in the world. His works begin in the Gothic and end in the twentieth century. More than 1,000 works that will make you feel the story through the paintings. The medieval paintings, the German renaissance, the French Impressionism and realistic currents stand out on its walls. It contains works by authors such as Caravaggio, Cézanne or Picasso.

Reina Sofía Museum

It is considered as an extension of the Prado Museum, since its collection comprises from the 19th century to the present day. It is the most represented museum in Spanish painting and, therefore, more reflects our culture and artistic modes. It contains great works by Dalí, Miró and Picasso. One of the most visited works is precisely El Guernica, by Pablo Picasso, a work that represents the Spanish Civil War.

Sorolla Museum

It is the former home of the painter Joaquín Sorolla and has become a reference in tourism in the Spanish capital. It contains one of the best collections of the author, donated to the state by the painter's widow to preserve the historical memory of her husband. The museum is divided into several notable areas, such as the house and the garden.

Lázaro Galdiano Museum

It supports the restoration and maintenance of many works of Spanish art. In addition, it grants scholarships to the study and research of artistic culture, making it a reference for many foreign students. Among the collection are the set of paintings and prints by Goya, and other works belonging to El Bosco and Murillo.
